What is cladding?
A term used to describe the siding or materials covering a wall. Cladding can be on external walls or internal walls.
What material can I use for interior cladding?
Foam PVC
is hygienic, lightweight, strong and easy to clean. It is easy to fit
to interior walls at an affordable price. It has a "warm to the touch"
surface, making it ideal for areas where condensation is a problem.
What areas can I clad with Foam PVC?
Foam PVC
is ideal for cladding bathrooms, kitchens, workshops and sheds - indeed
anywhere that you would require lightweight, hygienic cladding. Ideal
for anywhere that suffers from condensation.
What thickness of Foam PVC should I use?
The key to choosing the correct thickness is in having a
material which is rigid enough without being too heavy to handle. The
larger the panel the thicker the material required. As a rough guide we
would recommend the following:
| Panel Size |
Thickness |
| Up to 1.5 sq. metre |
3mm |
| 1.5 - 2 sq. metre |
4mm |
| 2 - 3 sq. metre |

How should I fix my Foam PVC to the wall?
Fixing Foam PVC
depends on the state of the wall. If your wall is particularly uneven
you may need to batten it first. If your wall is quite smooth, simply
screw white PVC jointing strip ("H" section) to the wall and fit sheet.
To ensure waterproof construction, run a bead of silicone down the
inside of the jointing strip before inserting sheet. Corner profiles
and end capping is also available for a professional looking finish.
How do I care for my Foam PVC?
Foam PVC
is easy to care for. The only thing which you must remember is NOT to
use any abrasive materials when cleaning. To clean your sheet use hot
soapy water and a clean soft cloth (a micro-fibre cloth is ideal) Foam PVC
will withstand high temperatures and can be steam cleaned for stubborn
stains. It can also be cleaned using anti-bacterial spray cleaners.
